　　1960年那段时间，美国几个主要的民谣艺术节Hedy几乎都参加过，而且有过多个独奏会。她演唱的一些歌曲，比如：Mister Froggie、Single Girl、The Wife of Usher's Well、Cotton Mill Girls、Lord Thomas and Fair Ellender、The House Carpenter等等 ，都着实令听众痴迷不已。几年后，她开始频频游历英格兰和德国，还在伦敦的七年里，拜访了许多乡村民谣俱乐部。在游历欧洲时也不忘出席Cambridge Folk Festival和第一次的Keele Folk Festival。

　　1970年秋天，Hedy从伦敦搬到了纽约州立大学石溪分校，整理早期祖母的留下的素材，并开始研究David Lewin(大卫·卢因)的作品。90年代初，在丈夫去世后，她从普林斯顿大学搬到了宾夕法尼亚州的费城，并在那里的Eisteddfod Festival上做了最后一次献唱。

　　晚年，她不幸患了癌症，声带受损，她不得不停下工作。离世之前她居住在纽约长岛，她的生活一直由女儿照顾。Hedy West最终因癌症，于2005年7月3日离开人世 。
